Daedalians Scholarship Presentation Ceremony

Two midshipmen and a MECEP from TAMU were honored by the Daedalians Stinson's Flight #2 in San Antonio on August 29 for superior academic performance. The dinner included the presentation of scholarships and these members received more than $5,000 total.

Spring 2006 Commissioning

On May 12, the Texas A&M NROTC Unit commissioned 10 new Ensigns and 5 new Second Lieutenants. Congratulations to all on a job well done!

Nuclear Recruiting Trip to San Diego

Three Texas A&M Midshipmen had the chance to go to San Diego to learn about nuclear propulsion opportunities. They visited the USS Ronald Reagan (the Navy's newest aircraft carrier), a deep submergence rescue unit, and the USS Asheville (a fast attack submarine that had recently returned from a forward deployment).

Navy Field Training

Navy sophomore and junior students had the opportunity to develop their Officer of the Deck, conning, navigational, and radar skills at Texas A&M Galveston's high-tech ship bridge simulator.
