Naval Student Indoctrination (NSI)

The mission of New Student Indoctrination (NSI) is to provide standardized basic military instruction to Midshipmen Candidates in order to facilitate successful integration of new students into Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps and college life.

There will be three increments to NSI. Incoming Texas A&M University NROTC freshmen are required to attend the first or second increment. Inbound freshmen may not attend the third increment of NSI, as Texas A&M University NROTC freshmen will attend Fall Orientation Week (FOW) during that time. FOW takes place in Mid-August before the start of the fall semester.
